New EPA Rules Affect Remodeling
As of April 2010, our friends at the EPA will fine homeowners if they remodel without a certified safe lead paint remodeler. The fine is in excess of $37,000 first occurence, $65,000 next occurence…no warnings, an immediate fine. I just heard about this at our office meeting today, none of us were aware of this new law.
